New England District Retreat 

 Looking Forward: Hope and a Future
 
Five women were named in the genealogy of Jesus. Why would the Scriptures highlight these women? Perhaps God wants to teach us that our life purpose and our future does not depend on our past— whether it was abusive, hurtful, ugly, shameful, or even humble and upright— but rather on His plan for each of us and our faith and willingness to follow Him.  
Diane Bahn of Cypress, Texas, will lead us as we discover together the hope and encouragement we can gain from God’s work in the lives of these and other selected women in the Bible. Certainly He is at work in our lives too.   “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ’plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” Jeremiah 29:11
 
Where: Holiday Inn, Enfield, CT
When: Friday & Saturday, October 26 & 27
Registration Fee: only $40 until September 29, 2012 ($45 after that)   Hotel Cost: $95 for each room (for 1—4 people) which includes a hot breakfast (no change from last year)

We are also looking for a young woman (22-35 years of age) who is involved or interested in becoming involving in the LWML. Please fill out the Young Woman Representative Application to be considered to be the New England District YWR at the 2013 LWML Convention in Pittsburgh!
