See how you are making a difference...

We collected Wal-Mart gift cards as our Gifts from the Heart In-Gathering at the last Fall Retreat.

Below are some Thank You messages that we have received:

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we go into this Advent season we have been reminded of how much people around the St. Louis area, the Tri-State area and around the country support our Seminary students.  November was an amazing month for us here at the Food Bank. We have been blessed by so many donations: monetary, canned goods and coupons. It kept me, my student workers and many volunteers very busy. A simple "thank you" isn't sufficient for all of the gifts you have given us.

Because of your great donations we were able to offer the students two shopping days in December. The students are very grateful for the extra food they are able to receive. They can save the money they would have spent on that extra food for Christmas presents or to help with their schooling.

Thank you for your service to the Lord in all that you do for the students and their families here at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. May the lord bless and keep you, may you be encouraged daily as you serve our lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Blessings,
Kali Wood
Food Bank Coordinator

Greetings to you from the campus of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana!
May the joyful Epiphany Season bring its deepest joy to you, and may God’s love be in your heart throughout this New Year, too.

Thank you for your participation in the Co-op Christmas Marketplace this past year.  You make a difference in the lives of our students each time you share gifts, dollars, food or household items with them.  For many of our students, the Food & Clothing Co-op is their only place to shop to provide for their bodily needs.

Because of your help, each student received gift cards from various retailers, and each of our off-campus students received a ticket for 10 meals in the dining hall.  (no lunches to pack!)  Each student received at least $170.00 worth of gift cards and gifts.  They were also able to choose a hand-crafted quilt made by loving hands of ladies from across the country, as well as packets of Christmas cards with postage and even long distance phone minutes.  We had 49 drawings for gifts that ranged from an alb, cincture and vestment bag to kitchen sets to children’s toys.  What a blessing!

In Jesus, we find more gifts than our hearts can ever imagine.  You are truly a gift to the students who are preparing for a life of full-time church work.  Thank you.
Sincerely,  Karen Fuelling, Director

Greetings in the name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ!

My name is Peter Haugen and I am currently a 4th-year student here at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN.  I wanted to take just a moment and express my deep appreciation for the gift cards you sent for Christmas.  The gift cards we receive range from the practical to the fun, and they are such a blessing to our family.  They enable us to obtain necessities, to be able to provide a more enjoyable Christmas for our children (my wife Beth & I have a daughter and 3 sons) and to even go out for a night on the town – a rare treat indeed for us!  Even more, though, they are such an encouragement to us as they provide a reminder that we remain in the thoughts & prayers of our fellow Christians.  Thank you!
Blessings in Christ,
Peter Haugen (& family)

Thank you for your generous gift to the Seminary Co-op.
Receiving a gift card helps my wife and I to go on dates and have fun even though
we are tight on cash right now.  Blessings, John Koopman (Fort Wayne)

Dear Friends in Christ—What an awesome treat!
We had no idea that people would care so very much, sending gift cards to us.
They will most certainly come in handy!

This year has been filled with tremendous changes for our family and many unexpected expenses.

Your thoughtfulness has help us meet some needs and have some fun!
Thank you so very, very much!  We are so grateful!  His-Krista Nagy (Fort Wayne)

ThaEvery year the seminary community looks forward to the generous gift of these gift cards.
They provide us with a chance to make Christmas a little more comfortable and special.
My wife and I love these cards because we use them to go on dates which we normally can’t afford.

Thank you so much!  Isaac, Kaite & Elise Johnson Sem II (Fort Wayne)
